Rick Hyde
President & CEO
Rick’s expertise in the financial services industry is based on almost twenty years of experience designing, selling & implementing web-based wealth management and financial services solutions for many of North America’s leading banks, life insurance carriers, fund dealers and brokerage firms. Rick works with executive teams to design solutions that drive ROI and support the strategic vision. Rick participates in numerous financial technology steering committees and industry organizations helping to create innovative new solutions to drive the financial technology industry forward. Rick is the founder of Ticoon.
Brian Barry
Mr. Brian Barry joined the advisory Board of Ticoon in 2005 and has over 25 years of global experience in leadership, product commercialization, large project integration and change management. Brian has served as a Corporate Director in Canada, US and Europe and brings a wealth of knowledge to the financial services industry. He is Chairman of Neuralitic and Pinpoint GPS Solutions, a director of Optosecurity and Clickfree.
In the past, he has served as a director and advisor for a number of companies including Destinator (acquired by Intrinsyc Software in 2008), Mobitween (acquired by ZED in 2008), Cilys (acquired by Openwave in 2005) and Bitfone (M&A in 2004). He held various executive and management positions at Ericsson including CEO of Ericsson Canada.
Mr. Barry holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and is an advisor to the University of Limerick Business school.
Chris Jackson
Chief Information Officer, Senior Vice-President, IT & Operations – AGF Investments Inc.
Chris Jackson was appointed Chief Information Officer at AGF Investments Inc. in January 2011 to lead the technology and investment operations departments. In this role he is responsible for enhancing AGF’s operational performance and strengthening the information technology infrastructure to support the growing business. Chris has over 22 years of varied experience leading organizations in the financial services and technology industries.
David Campbell
David is an entrepreneurial, senior executive with a proven ability to build companies, provide valuable strategic, operational and financial direction to create corporate value. David has raised over $100 million in private and public equity capital as co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of numerous early stage technology companies over the last 12 years, including three which he took public. The companies David has worked for as Chief Financial Officer are in the technology and financial services sector and include Basis100 Inc., Dexit Inc. GuestLogix Inc., The Futura Loyalty Group Inc. and Ticoon Technology Inc.
David is currently a managing partner at Belweather Capital Partners Inc., a Toronto based investor in early stage technology companies and is also CFO of The Futura Loyalty Group Inc. and Ticoon Technology Inc. Before taking on his first CFO role at Basis100, David was a venture capital investor with a large Canadian venture fund. David earned a degree in Honours Business Administration at Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He was granted the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1996.
DAVID S. WHITE, Q.C.
David White is a senior lawyer and Rick Hyde’s original partner in the creation and development of Ticoon. David is responsible for a number of Ticoon’s business and investor relationships and has contributed to the growth of the Company. He has served as a director and advisor to numerous private and public corporations.
John P. Byrne
President – Petroleum Corporation of Canada Exploration Limited
Mr. Byrne has more than 30 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience. He served in senior executive roles with Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion Inc. (now National Bank Financial), A.E. Ames & Company Ltd./Dominion Securities Ames Ltd. and The First Boston Corporation. Mr. Byrne graduated from McGill University with a BA and from the University of Toronto Law School with a LLB. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is President of Petroleum Corporation of Canada Exploration Limited (“Petrex”), an oil and gas exploration and development company, and has held that position since 1976. Petrex helped establish and finance Enerplus Energy Services Limited for which Mr. Byrne served as Vice-Chairman (1986-2000).
Stephen Burleton
Vice President, Corporate Development – MBAC Fertilizer Corp
Mr. Burleton is Vice President, Corporate Development for MBAC Fertilizer Corp., a publicly listed company on the TSX. Mr. Burleton has over 18 years of experience in the investment banking industry having worked with several of Canada’s leading investment banks. Mr Burleton has provided strategic and financing advice for companies in various sectors including industrial and consumer products, technology and mining.
